I’m Sleeping Out on Shop Street for COPE Galway
On Friday, 5th December, I will be taking part in the COPE Galway Business Leaders Sleep Out, an annual event that raises vital funds for COPE Galway’s homeless services.
As CEO of Lyons Links, I have the privilege of helping people experience the very best of Ireland. We showcase the warmth and hospitality that make this country so special. But living here in Galway, I also see that many people in our own community face real hardship.
COPE Galway provides far more than just shelter. The funds raised through this event support a range of essential services, including nutritious meals, safe accommodation, and the wraparound care people need to find stability and rebuild their lives. Their compassion and dedication have a direct and lasting impact on those who are struggling to find safety and security.
The Business Leaders Sleep Out is a reminder that leadership is not only about running successful businesses, but also about taking care of the community around us. Spending one night outdoors is a small act, yet it raises awareness and vital funds for an organisation that truly changes lives.
I am proud to support COPE Galway and to play a small part in helping them continue their incredible work for the people of Galway.
